I have several passions in life: family, photography, experiencing new adventures and keeping my memories and family stories alive. As a small child I caught the fever of adventure – and I like to share it.
“It’s a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there’s no knowing where you might be swept off to.”
Adventures come in all sizes, from all directions. My youngest granddaughter and I can have an adventure by having a tea party on the front porch. My grandson and I can have an adventure by cooking together. Some adventures take me across the country or skydiving. Other adventures are “destination unknown” trips I plan for “the girls” that sometimes takes us ziplining, axe throwing or visiting museums. Adventures are found in reading books, taking a drive or planning a trip. Some of the best adventures are those that find you – they come unexpected. Along the way, we also experience journeys that come into our lives not by choice. That might be the journey of being a caregiver or experiencing sickness.
I invite you to come travel through these pages with me down backroads and along lanes of memories old and new. Enjoy scenery of places you have seen in your dreams. Walk with me through some of life’s journeys.
“Don’t adventures ever have an end? I suppose not. Someone else always has to carry on the story.”
